How to Reschedule, Cancel, and/or Edit an Appointment

Appointment details are initially selected as part of each appointment's creation. Once a patient appointment is saved to your schedule, the appointment record can be reviewed and edited as part of patient check-in, or the appointment can be rescheduled/canceled without requiring the patient to be checked-in. This article will explore the ways to reschedule, cancel, or edit an appointment's details.

Reschedule or Cancel an Appointment

The Schedule tab displays appointments based on the user's filter and view settings. Click the box next to any appointment to load its details in the menu on the right-hand side of the screen:

If the appointment is to be rescheduled or canceled, click the drop-down arrow next to the "Check-In" button, then select the appropriate option:

If you wish to re-schedule the appointment, select "reschedule." The Appointment Details menu will appear, allowing you to make any necessary changes before re-confirming the updated appointment:

Note: Opening the Appointment Details menu will start a timer to hold the available time slot options while you edit and re-confirm the appointment

If you wish to cancel the appointment, select "Cancel" from the check-in options drop-down menu. select a reason for cancellation, then confirm the action by clicking "Yes, Cancel Appointment":

To initiate the appointment, select the appointment and click "Check In"

The Patient Details menu will open. Review/edit any patient information as needed, then click "Next":

The Appointment Details menu will open. Make any necessary changes in the available fields, then click "Next":

The Attachments & Notes menu will open. When ready, click "Complete Check-In" to save your appointment details changes:

Success!

You will receive a message confirming the patient is now checked-in:
