How to Configure Schedules for your Vision(X) Site
This tutorial will demonstrate how to configure schedules for your Vision(X) site.
In the Settings tab, select the "Organization" toggle to view the list of your organizations. Select the appropriate Org, then click the edit button in the "Actions" column:
Appointment Types
The "Edit Organization" menu will appear. Select the "Appointment Type" toggle. Existing appointment types can be activated/inactivated using the "Actions" editing button, and new appointment types can be created and configured using the "New Appointment Type" button:
Booking Settings
Select the "Booking Settings" toggle. Make sure that the Multi-resource schedule setting option is ENABLED, then click "Save":
Location Settings
Return to the Settings tab, and select the "Location" toggle to view your practice locations. Select the appropriate Loc, then click the view/edit button in the "Actions" column:
Location Hours
The "Edit Location" settings menu will appear. Select the "Opening Hours" toggle. Click "Add Opening Hours" to set the location's hours of operation for each day of the week. (Note: Regularly scheduled breaks in hours of operation, such as daily lunch hours, will be added at a later step.) When finished, click "Save":
Create Rooms
You will now be returned to the "Edit Location" settings menu. Select the "Rooms" toggle, then click "+Add Room":
The "Create New Room" menu will appear. Enter information for all required fields (marked by blue asterisk), as well as any other relevant settings, then click "Save". Repeat as necessary for all scheduled rooms in your practice:

Return to the Settings tab, and select the "Location" toggle. Select the practice, then click the view/edit button in the "Actions" column:
Booking Settings
The "Edit Practice Settings" menu will appear. Select the "Booking Settings" toggle. Set the "Hide assigned doctor name" toggle to "Enabled", and the "Automatic Appointment Status Update" toggle to "Disabled", then click "Save":
Working Hours
You will now be returned to the "Edit Practice Settings" menu. Select the "Working" toggle, then click "Add Working Hours" to set the practice's hours of operation for each day of the week. (Note: Regularly scheduled breaks in hours of operation, such as daily lunch hours, will be added at a later step.) When finished, click "Save":
Rooms Enablements
You will now be returned to the "Edit Practice Settings" menu. Select the "Room Enablements" toggle, then click the view/edit button for any room in the practice from the "Action" column:
The room enablements menu will appear. Use the "Service Mapping" drop-down menu to select the appointment types that will be accommodated in this room. When finished, click "Save":
Create Exam Room Schedules
Returning to the Settings tab, select the "Scheduler" subtab and the "Schedules" toggle, then click "New Schedule":
Schedule Basics
The "Schedule Basics" menu will appear. Select the Practice and Room that you wish to schedule. Select start and end dates for when this schedule will be valid for this room. When finished, click "Next":
Schedule Rules
The "Schedule Rules" menu will appear. Enter values for all required fields (marked by blue asterisk.) Select all days of the week to which this schedule will apply, the frequency and intervals at which it will repeat, start/end times, time slot duration and patients-per-time-slot.
Rules are applied to a daily schedule in chronological order. In this example, we will schedule a single room through the day's hours of operation with a planned, break for lunch. This will require a total of three rules. Rule 1 corresponds to the hour of practice opening at 10 am until the start of lunch at 12 pm. When all values for Rule 1 are entered (including the appointment types and doctors, click "+Add Rule":
Continue down the Schedule Rules menu to select the appointment types and doctors for this room:
Next, click "+Add Rule" to create Rule 2 for this room's schedule corresponding to the lunch break. When finished, click "+Add Rule":
Finally, enter values for Rule 3, corresponding to the end of lunch through end of day. When finished, click "Next":
