Glossary of Vision(X) User Role Types and Permissions
Every user profile in any Vision(X) site is assigned at least one (or more) roles related to their functions in the organization. These roles are selected as part of creating a new user profile, and can be edited at any time. The following is a simple glossary of user role types, as well as a chart displaying each role type's corresponding permissions and abilities in your Vision(X) sites:
Organization Manager - Frequently an owner/operator, typically oversees all locations for all practices contained within an organization.
Practice Manager -An administrator for multiple practice locations contained within a broader organization.
Doctor - A health care provider that conducts medical exams and other duties related to patient care.
Technician - A non-doctor team member that assists with exam workflows and the providing of medical care to patients.
Optician - A team member that is primarily responsible for sales and dispensing processes of optical products.
Front Desk - Typically the point of first contact for a practice location, managing daily administrative tasks and patient appointment statuses from check-in to check-out.
Biller - Responsible for managing financial transactions between the practice and related businesses (e.g. insurance payers.)
Location Manager - A team member that is responsible for overseeing operations at a given practice location within an organization.
Report Manager - A team member that is responsible for collating and reporting on data related to practice operations.
Export Data - A Vision(X) role designed primarily for managing the transfer and translation of data.
