Documenting Screening
Screening is a preliminary check of basic visual functions. This tutorial will demonstrate how to document screening tests for pachymetry, fusion, and/or topography in a patient exam in Vision(X).
Begin the exam, then select the Screening category to open the documentation fields. If any screening fields were documented by a non-provider (technician) or will simply not be completed as part of this exam, select the check box for "To Review" or "Not Performed" as appropriate:
Summary
Use this menu to annotate current vision status and overall eye health. If you possess clinical images that you would like to attach to this field, click "Open Image Module":
The Clinical Images menu will appear as a pull-out from the right-hand side of the screen. Click "Manual Upload" to add any image file, then click the "X" to close the menu when ready:
Pachymetry
Pachymetry is the process of measuring the thickness of a cornea in the human eye, and is used to screen for glaucoma and other corneal disorders, as well as to help determine a patient's potential eligibility for corrective surgeries.
Enter values into the corresponding fields. Values may be entered manually for each field, and selecting a field may open a slider menu for easy selection of value. All fields can be quickly re-set using the "Clear All" button, or use the "Skip field" button if this will not be documented for today's exam:
Fusion is screening process that indicates how well the human brain merges the separate images received by both eyes into a single, stable, 3-D picture. Select the Fusion toggle, then select either the Worth test or Optec 2000 option and enter values as applicable. All fields can be quickly re-set using the "Clear All" button, or marked as "normal" condition:
Topography
Topography mas the 3-D surface of the curvature of the cornea in a human eye. Select the Topography toggle, then, if you possess clinical images that you would like to attach to this field, click "Open Image Module". The Clinical Images menu will appear as a pull-out from the right-hand side of the screen. Click "Manual Upload" to add any image file, then click the "X" to close the menu when ready:
When ready, double-scroll the bottom of the page to proceed to the next portion of the exam:
